Nikkyu and Sankyu exams were held Monday night Jan 19th, 2009.  We had four Sankyus' testing for Nikkyu and one Yonkyu testing for Sankyu.  The test was long and hard.  We started off with a randori session with weapons testing our Tai Sabaki techniques and I have to admit...I took some good hits during that one.  It was a lot of fun but man did it tire you out fast.  After the randori we moved into katas with Happo Ken Shodan and Happo Ken Niddan.  Again, if you are putting your all into executing the kata it can be really exhausting.  Once we finished the katas we moved into our techniques starting with Ai Han Suwari Waza and finishing with Ashi Dori Ho.  Lastly we tested our chokes (maily two) from Ne Waza.  I for one came out of the test with several bruises and scrapes.  But each one was worth it.  I want to congratulate the following testees for a great test.

Also, congratulations to Brandon who tested and passed his exam for Yellow belt on the 15th!  Way to go!
